To stop us all jumping off bridges over the most depressing song ever poll... what songs make you feel really good?

My full-on happeehappee songs are quite embrassing really.

The first two that spring to mind are 'I'm a Believer' by the Monkees and 'Sweet Transvesite' from the Rocky Horror Show.

There's something about Tim Curry's face when he appears in that elevator that just can't fail to make me smile  Plus I got a lot of makeup and wardrobe inspiration from him

Anyway, those are the only two I can think of off the top of my head that make me fully want to dance around etc.

Anyone else?

EDIT:

The 'look' I was referring to occurs about 40 seconds in :)

Here Comes your man - Pixies

Even though it's one of my least favorite Pixies songs, It's still a Pixies song. It's such a peppy song, and the subject matter is quite deceptive.

Actually for me this one is half depressing-half feel good. While the circumstances of the song are depressing, the sound really takes me out of down moments. I can't think of any more right now, but there are more.

Don't know if you can call this a "happy" sounding band but this has always perked me up from time to time:

"Shut Your F*cking Face Uncle F*cker" ... it's the only one I can think of right now, but I can't help but grin when I hear it and feel like marching around at high speed like they do in the song on the movie. :p

I find the Rocky soundtrack to be quite uplifting and inspiring too.

I used to LOVE that song. I never knew that he was more than a one hit wonder tho. I guess he didn't pick up across the pond here as well.

Here's one of my favorite happytime memory songs:
