i am sure everyone is already familiar with this, but what the hell:
i was reading the "what music would you pick to kill zombies by" thread and thought that a misfits song would fit...

anyone here know "night of the living dead" by the misfits? lifted right from the romero classic! (i think they had a video directed by him too if i'm not mistaken, well whatever the misfits are now anyways)...

GAR directed the video for "Scream", which is featured on the Bruiser DVD. I believe this was an exchange for having The Misfits appear in the film playing live.

It was a joke, Ipotts...

like Brittany Spears career...

Misfits is ok...
Compared to the whiney sounds of emo singer today crying "why can't everything be perfect", Misfits sounds pretty good.

That was a good video ... northside kings right? :D

I met danzig myself a few times, had a few run ins with the monkeys who work the stage for him too. Had the chance to shake his hand when he came to see us backstage, along with his "security" ... but told him to his face "no chance".

Invalid statement: I don't like Van Halen ... period.

Misfits are only the Misfits with Danzig....it is about music, if he gets knocked out or Deadman can tell him "no chance" (whatever that meant...plus I am sure him and his millions are still up thinking about that one.) He music kicks ass, christ it was 25 years about when most of that stuff was writen and it is still better than the stuff coming out now.

PS Van Halen with DLR is 1000% better than without. Though DLR has become a parady of himself, is there anyone less cool?

Ummmm ... i think that you will infact find that you are very wrong about that :D

You could probably get away with saying something like "Danzig is only danzig with danzig" ... but the Misfits are the Misfits with OR without danzig ... and that's just dry logic.

I seen the Misfits last year (twice) and "the only man" was the ONLY original member on stage, (Dez and Ramone) but guess what? Yeah ... it was still the misfits ;)

Tell us something we don't know about Samhain if you rate danzig so much.

the misfits are the misfits in name, sure, but at it's core isn't the same band...sorry dude, but a band with only one original member is not the same band. you can still like them, and more power to you for that, but they still will never be as good as that original line-up...

Well, Guns n Roses aren't Guns n Roses anymore, I think we can all agree on that one, lol. Which reminds me, did anyone download the leaked demos? I've only bothered to listen to "Better", which I actually quite like (bar a few weird bits thrown in for no apparent good reason), but it's so far removed from GnR and with only Axl then it just ain't GnR.

ipotts85

A lot if you are going but name recognition for sales...that is the only reason that Misfits...GNR....Skynard (sp?) keep those names....they would be dumb not to, you know how hard it is to build name recognition like that.

But lets face the facts...Glenn Danzig was a huge part and a vital part to the band the Misfits.

Vocalists are usually Identified with the band name for good or bad that is just how it is...I guess because to an untrained ear guitar may sound the same just like drums and bass but vocals are distinctive for everyone. Plus Vocalists usually have the most personality (or just the forum to display it).

Van Halen is another great example...Van Halen is named after the people still in the band...but it was not the same without DLR...

Either way deadman...no chance.

BTW Ipotts I never left I just dont have much too say usually I just read.

ouch. snap.

having listened to the misfits since like 1983 or 84, i think the misfits w/o danzig are a pale imitation at best.

All I know is that everytime I look on Ebay for a Night of the living LP soundtrack, all I find are those Misfits LPs.
