Why would anyone want to buy this reprint when you can buy an original poster book with the original artwork pretty easily?

I don't see the dimensions listed on that auction. What are the sizes of the posters once unfolded? I imagine they would also have the fold in the middle, which wouldn't look too good when framed.

Bassman, why would you want to spend money on a cheap knock off? I've never understood that. I've had this discussion with another member of this board before and we both don't understand the huge interest in cheap reprints, which are very popular at conventions these days.
I would always want the original. I love the fold lines in old posters, it doesn't bother me at all. BTW, the dimensions of the poster are 21.5 x 33.5

My posters are meant for decoration only. I couldn't care less if it's a reprint or an original. Often it's much cheaper to get a reprint that looks exactly the same.

That poster book would've been nice, but i'm hoping this reprint will look better without the folds and the bigger size.

Why don't you just print the image off your computer on some copy paper and slap it in an 8.5 x 11 frame and be done with it? It's worth about as much.
BTW, I thought all posters were for decoration?

If I could clearly print the 20-40 inch sizes for a poster, I probably would.:p

Yup. Exactly why I won't pay through the nose for an original print. I know a lot of people buy them to keep them in storage so that they can sell them later, but that's not my thing. The image will look the same on my wall whether it was printed in 78 or 08. The 08 is just cheaper, so it's the best decision for me.

I only collect originals but this is one that I'd like to have a reprint of because the original size is odd. I just like the artwork, really. A cool design that I'd like to look at a lot.

Neil, how long have you had your copy? I got mine way back in the mid 80's. A company that advertised in Fangoria magazine, Fantaco, was selling them signed by Savini. That was my first Dawn of the Dead collectible. :)

The poster came in today. Overall I'm fairly pleased. I had expected it to be a bit grainy, but it actually has more grain than I had anticipated. That's only if your up close, of course. From a few feet back, like normally viewed, it looks great. Here's a few quick shots.
