Dude...c'mon. it's even in the wrong forum. :p

I guess the last show that REALLY watched faithfully was Mystery Science Theater 3000 when it was still on Scifi.

i will say that even my extremely jaded self is very much looking forward to this show. i try very hard not to get to hopped up about any movie or tv show, since disappoinment has showered down so many times in the past. maybe this show will be all sunny uplands...then again it might turn out to be a bog. i guess we'll find out on the 31st.

the last show i followed regularly...hmmm....probably "enterprise."

Well, like with most of GAr's work now days that we anticipate for months, even years on end, nothing can live up to expectations when it's been built up so much.

I don't think it will reinvent the genre but i do believe that it will be a solid, serious foray into an area that has lacked quality releases for years now.

The genre is now largely a joke with zombies as fodder for movies with slapstick humor, bad acting and low budgets.

Straight to dvd/sy fy channel caliber stuff, if you will.

I'm not saying it's going to be the greatest thing ever but with WWZ on the horizon as well, this could be the start of regaining respect for a genre whose quality releases are becoming more and more infrequent.

It's getting to the point that when a kick ass zombie movie is released I'm shocked.

Brad Pitt gets a bad rep because of his personal life for some reason. The dude's got acting chops, I don't know why people seem to forget that...

I agree, he's a fine actor. He's got the Jeff Gordon curse I guess. No matter how good you do there will always be those who won't give credit where credit is due all over some personal issue or dislike they have with the person.

My guess is the personal issue is that THEY'RE not sleeping with angelina!

Jealousy is a motherfucker.

I thought he would weigh in too !

He'll get to it I'm sure.

Although he already adressed that with the second post of the thread.

well, the search feature has been busted as shit lately, so that 2nd pic doesn't really work all that well right now...but that would be a great thing for his signature.

and come on, DB...there's an entire section of these forums dedicated to TWD, and it's made up the majority of all recent discussions lately...

Last series I followed religiously was nBSG.

Watching the Galactica slug it out with a couple of Basestars once or twice a season was well worth all the angsty stuff in between.

Oh, and Al Bundy - Absolute legend

I actually really enjoyed "benjamin button" as well, wasnt one I would have picked off the shelf to watch normally, but my girlfriend wanted to see it & I got really into it!

Pitt is a Grade C actor at best, that's managed to get good work primarilly because of his looks. Less pretty looking boys, like Philip Seymour Hoffmann, Steve Buscemi, William H. Macey or Ed Norton blow him out of the water. Completely.

I used to have a very low opinion of Pitt back around the time of "Seven" (in which I assumed he was pretty much playing himself). "Fight Club" totally changed my mind, & I'm became somewhat of a fan in spite of myself. Thought he was great in "Inglorious Basterds" as well. I'm not going to run right out & see any ol' movie because he's in it, but I'm not going to exclude one just because he's in it either. You could probably draft a list of truly GREAT actors who are better (Like Shootem did), but I'd rated him as a GOOD actor.
