I searched and did not see a thread about this, and was curious. I myself have read the first 68 issues...to not give any spoilers, I'll just say that I am very curious to see how (or if) they deal with some of the...incredibly "adult" type issues, torture porn scenes, etc. But I thought that the pilot was awesome, and while not 100% true to the source material, it was pretty dam close.

i've got all hardcovers up to this point, and have read them a couple of times. i'm also wondering how some of that stuff is gonna make it past the censors....guess time will tell.

Been reading it since roughly the sixth issue. I'm a bit behind now, though, due to terrible economic times for my girlfriend and I.

Almost positive I first heard about it from Danny (hellsing). Memorieeeeees.

I'm right up to date on the books. I'm sorry to say, though, that I have downloaded a few issues from torrent sites, due to the fact that I can't always get hold of them, or money is a bit tight. But I have bought more than I have stolen.

I nearly bought a 5 inch thick compilation book of it last weekend in York, but in the end I couldnt justify spending the £45 on it, I may treat myself over the Xmas period though

Only seen the first few issues at a buddy's house. I'm glad that's all too. Continuing the show with fresh views.

I did read The Walking Dead.
Of course it was a different 'The Walking Dead. ' a four part series put out by Aircel comics in 1989.
According to Wiki, neither the 89 or 04 series are related (other than the title. )

I've switched over to the trade paperbacks, as they're much more durable to read and loan out.

Not reading replies backwards to avoid spoilers, but I've read up to about issue 65 or 70 (read through the 'Hunters' story arc). I find floppys hard to keep up with nowadays.

Just said this on another thread - I have the first 2 hardbacks (12 issues a piece, 24 in total). Not read them yet though. :o

Read them all.

Love them though I always liked the first artist much more.

yeah, i second the notion that they should have stuck with the 1st artist. not that the guy doing it these days is bad.

hardcover #6 is out, should be getting it for christmas this year.

I haven't read any of the comic books...maybe that is a good thing?
Would you rather you didn't read the comic books or are you glad you did read them?

Agreed. IIRC there were creative differences between Kirkman & he, plus he was taking to long to get the art in? Shame, as his stuff was wonderfully detailed & all of the characters & zombies were "distinct". When the change occurred it was a bit jarring & a lot of the "personality" was lost IMO. But it's serviceable.

Hurm. Good question. On one hand, it's good to be able to compare & contrast, on the other you know what's coming. However, they've said they're not following the comic 100%, that there are plans to change it up A BIT, so even if you HAVE read it, there's no guarantees there won't be surprises further on down the road.:)

I been reading it since the first trade paperback. And buying and reading them ever since. That was back in 2004! Where does the time go LoL!

I have been reading since issue#1 came out and about issue 50 or so I switched to the trade... I prefer that now because some of the issues are a very quick read.
