An advertising firm has been blasted after a billboard for The Walking Dead was put on the wall of a funeral parlour in Consett, County Durham.

An apology has been issued after the ad for The Walking Dead appeared on the side of The Co-operative Funeralcare.

Susan Jones, from the Willow Burn Hospice, in nearby Lanchester, said that while some people may see the funny side, others would not.

She said: 'There must be somewhere else they could put it that would have shown a degree of insight and sensitivity.'

Can you imagine the looks that the unfortunate person in the casket must be getting during services? Kind of an "Aww, I'll miss you, Uncle Frank... but please don't eat my face" look.

yikes, somebody goofed up. while i find it a bit amusing, i can certainly see how i'd likely think otherwise in certain circumstances.

you'd think that somebody would've had a bit more common sense and caught this before the thing went up in that location.

Thanks for the link Neil, and I am of two minds on the subject. On one hand I found it really funny. One of those quirky sort of things that just happen and that is unfortunate but so much so it makes me laugh. But as was said in other circumstances say the passing of a child in my family or something of that nature I doubt it would entertain me all that much.

Still and all a great little story.
