I think many people are sick of the current American government - some just for the sake of it, or because hating America is 'cool' (weird), but I'm no fan of it because of it's meddling, because of the mixing of religion and politics, because Bush inspires no confidence - the dude couldn't talk his way out of a paper bag.

It just reminds me of the paradox that is America, I'm not being insulting, but it really is. Say one thing and do another - or do two opposing things at the same time.

You have a ratings system to say how old you need to be to see a certain movie - but that retarded "R" rating means any kid can see any movie. There's ratings on games and people are trying to put legislation in to stop kids from buying adult games - then the 'human rights' and 'freedom of speech/expression' thing comes out. There's a bunch of other such paradox moments in American culture...but I can't be arsed to continue, lol.

But really, the most frightening thing about America is that big middle bit where the uber-conservatives tend to congregate...but then again, the uber-liberal-pansies on each coast are just as terrifying.

All said and done, I like America - I wouldn't wanna live there, but the whole "I hate America" thing you see kids in Slipknot hoodies preaching is just so ghey.
