Heard about it yesterday while watching the Mets vs. Puerto Rico (ha! The irony...) game. Went to one hospital, and airlifted to another. Poor guy. Puckett is a great guy, and was an awesome ball player.

Several people close to him pointed out growing weight gain concerns. He kept putting on more and more, and it was easily noticable. Watch. Heart attack is next. The good people in life always get screwed.

But my thoughts and prayers are with Puckett and his family. Hopefully he has a full recovery.

Never was a Twins fan, but Kirby is class all the way. He played the game the right way...

I will say a tiny prayer for him...:(

I truly liked watching Kirby play. I got to see him play in person back in 1988, so that was cool. He will be missed.

I never saw him play, but I know of his accomplishments, both on and off the field. The man is one of a kind. An excellent ball player. An excellent human being.

R.I.P. Kirby Puckett
