I was watching The Texas Chainsaw Massacre again a couple nights ago, and noticed something really cool I never did before.
You know the radio news broadcast playing over the shot of the "corpse art" right before the opening titles? Well, just keep listening through the titles and into the scene with Franklin tinkling (it won't let me say PlSS?)and falling down the hill. It's really interesting, as everything that's being reported is an atrocity, and the grave robbings are just another terrible thing going on in the world. I'm not sure if that was meant as some sort of social commentary, but if it was, it's a damn good job.
The commentary on the disc with Hooper doesn't mention anything about it, so I have my doubts.
