I've seen this done at other forums I frequent & always found it interesting to see what the desktop's of other forum members looked like. Sorta get a view into their likes & intrests :).

Here's mine:

How do you shrink it to a thumbnail?

EDIT: Nevermind, you can tell me later.

Over at Penny Arcade Forum they have some good tools to modify your desktop. Here are my last 3 desktops, going from oldest to current:

Very nice desktops so far :). I especially like LoSTBoy's Jessica & Kate desktops :).

The desktop in the original post was from my home PC. My desktop here at my office is:

http://img218.imageshack.us/img218/8882/desktopno4.th.jpg (http://img218.imageshack.us/my.php?image=desktopno4.jpg)

It's a picture of my Grandparent's on my Mom's side. Didn't know my Dad's parent's since they passed away before I was born.

LoSTBoy, I use Imageshack to create the thumbnails for forum's: http://www.imageshack.us/

Well, I lost all my data because my harddrive has gone senile, I'm still using it but I need to get another ASAP.

Anyway, this meant creating a new desktop with all the knowledge I learned, ergo here is my new one:

Hey philly. Have you ever taken the trolly ride up Mount Washington. I forget what they call that thing , lol. The Grand Concorse(sp) restaurant near it rules.

How do you post your destop?

Philly_SWAT

The trolley you are referring to is called an incline. Yes I did. I didnt eat at The Grande Concorse(sp), but I did eat at the Georgetowne Inn which is at the top. Sat down right before sunset, and got to see the sunset over the city, and then marvel at the nightime view.

The Grand Concourse is highly overrated. I mean, everyone should eat there once, but the wait isn't worth the while, IMHO. Also Philly, I too have GIF construction and I totally love that program...

Here's the pic that is currently the background of my comp. Since I already have the pic hosted somewhere, I'm not gonna bother with taking a screenshot of my desktop. This is my oldest boy when he was about three or four. We took him to the petting zoo in New Castle. This is one of those head cut-outs just outside the Siberian Tiger exhibit.

I rotate between this one and a rather embarrassing one of the wife  in butterfly wings :shifty: But, I'm not nearly brave enough to post that one...:elol:

Sick of always having to find something different to mount on the desktop on a whim. With a Rorschach ink blot, I can have something different everyday just by looking at it.

too much miscellaneous crap on my desktop to get the full effect of this picture. this one of the many controlled detonations of munitions confiscated from iraqi insurgency that i got to witness. we always did these after a night of patrolling, early in the rising sun over the desert. very picturesque, as you can see. gotta love the peace sign..."duality of man" kinda deal.

funny story: all that flashy flying stuff is shrapnel. one day a piece about the size of a cassette tape landed right next to us (over 400 yards away) and my buddy runs up and picks the thing up. not a smart move.

Seriously cannot be naffed to suss this out. I hit Print Screen it does nothing at all. It wont let me copy/paste it into Paint. So therefore, I'm just gonna post a link to the damn picture.

Nice image! To paste your desktop in the future just:

1) Go to your standard view of your desktop

2) Press the "Print Screen" (or "Print Scr" etc." button)

3) Wait a second or two

4) Open up your paint application

5) Go to edit and click on "Paste"

6) "Save as" the file with a desired name in your desired location

7) Upload image file to favored hosting site for linking on the web.
