Well, I figured this would be an intersting thread, since we've got some music fans around here. I was just wondering, what concerts have you guys been to? These are the ones I've been to:
America (2001)
Chicago (2003)
Matchbox Twenty (2003)
Allman Brothers (2005)
Rob Thomas (2006...this past wednesday :D )
What about you guys? Any crazy concerts?

Best concerts in my life include...
Aerosmith (2005) Honkin' on Bobo tour. Totally wasn't expecting it, but I got my socks knocked off!
Eric Clapton (1990) August tour. IMHO, Clapton was at his best in this era. Hell of a show, even for my 14 year old ears.
David Lee Roth (2000). Again, wasn't expecting much and got blown away. I thought that he would be playing new material but in stead played Van Halen hits all night. I saw Van Hagar in 03' and they were pure crap. If you want to capture that feeling again, opt for DLR.
GWAR (2003). I had been a fan of theirs forever, finally they come to my home town. Well I hung towards the back near the bar so I could stay dry  They put on a hell of a show, my ears almost started ringing again at the thought of it.
I've seen dickloads of concerts but these are at the forefront I suppose. I've been to several that I thought would rank high but didn't, such as Parliament Funkadelic (saw them twice, not impressed, unprofessional), and Velvet Revolver (arena was less than half full, Weiland has the stage presence of a prop).

This may take awhile.... Some of these guys I saw at festivals and things like that....so just because they're listed doesn't mean I enjoy them all that much.
311(about 7 times now....and tomorrow is 3/11 day! Too bad I didn't get tickets to the show. The last 311 day was 5 hours....very cool concert)
Dave Matthews Band
Chevelle
Taproot
Rage Against the Machine
Gvt. Mule
Allman Brothers
Moe
Dave Matthews Solo
Deftones
Tool
Snoop Dogg(don't ask...:shifty: )
Living Colour
Collective Soul
Live
Metallica.....ugh..
Slipknot
Mudvayne
Lost Prophets
Flaw(don't like them but our band opened for them when they came to Atl for their national tour....so it was a cool experience)
Life of Agony(same as above)
Incubus
Hoobastank
Poison the Well
White Zombie
Godsmack:dead:
Boy Hits Car
Fuel:|
Three Doors Down:|
Breaking Benjamin
Papa Roach...hold on....im gonna vomit.
Blacked Eyed Peas
G love and Special Sauce?....something like that. I wasn't interested(opening band)
Unwritten Law(ever heard unmelodic noise? )
Smugface(now known as City Sleeps)
Bonaroo 2004(awesome...lots of good bands...AND DRUGS! )
Im stopping there. I'm sure I've missed a view. I would have to look back through my ticket stubs(I saved them all and I don't know why). But yeah....I love conerts. Even some of the crappy ones that are listed above weren't too bad live. It's a different feeling when you're there....even if you don;t normally like the music.

Do you normally call concerts "gigs"? I don't know if that's a british thing or what....but around here I've only heard people call them gigs when it's their band's show. Not making fun of you or anything...just curious.:)
Oh yeah, a couple of shows that I forgot about: Foo Fighters and Otep. I wasn't much a fan of either(I did have all of Foo Fighters' cds but never seen them live) when I saw them....but they were really badass. Great shows..
I actually went and saw Boy Hits Car here in Atl. last night. Pretty good band. can't beat a 6 dollar at the door concert... I saw them once before at a festival but last night was pretty crazy. Loads of fun...

I've never really thought about it! Just aways called them gigs. The word concert tends to create an image of something quite big and grand but most of the shows I go to are held in small venues and the word concert doesn't quite fit!

Can't believe I forgot probably my favorite concert...
Nirvana, December 2003, just a few months before his death. Pat Smear really helped round out their live sound. Hell of a show.

That is only a handfull of the concerts I have been to. There was a time about 5 years ago where I went to about 3 a week. I can honestly say I have been to around 300 shows if not more, especially if you count all the local bands shows that I attend. There was a time where I was really into Ska and went to almost every Ska show in the Detroit area... those were the fun days before all the bills came.

As much as I love TMNT.....does it really count as a concert? Seems more like a kids show to me.
It's cool to see that someone else around here has seen 311...
A couple more I thought of: Cake, Tom Petty, and *gasp*...the Eagles Hell Freezes over tour..

I saw Tom Petty last Summer - GREAT show! They did a new song called "Melinda" Man, the piano player stole the stage on that one - great JAM song.

Guys in turtle costumes sang, danced, and fought the foot clan. It was very entertaining wether you consider it a kids show or a concert.
