Transparent GIF Background

The Philadelphia SWAT emblem over to the left under my name (my avatar) has a transparent background....why isnt it showing up like it? You can clearly see the white square around the black patch. It is the same GIF I used on the old forum, and it did "Show up" as transparent there, in other words, the background color show thru and all you saw was the round patch.

Any ideas as to why?

For those of you who have had sleepless nights sinc I asked the original question, just wanted to follow up and say that apparently it was not a transparent background. As you can now see, I have rectified the situation, and made it hop around a bit as well.

Ha, glad you figgured it out, I would have told you had I seen it, but isn't it better knowing you can do stuff like that yourself? :)
