Unemployment is a bitch

3000 jobs in the North East of England gone in the past few months due to profit oriented employers and greed motivated site transferals.
My training manager tells a group of us "I really don't think the moneys out there." I trust her judgement and agree with a belief that southeners have better chance of getting some of the best jobs going up here because our education is different directed towards jobs that no longer exist in our region.
Worse yet it's becoming increasingly harder for a man to hold down any job, most work places would hire women but only because of their natural cleansiness and because they don't have to be paid as much as a man.

Did you loose your job or are you just commenting on what is going on over there? If so i am sorry that you lost your job. I been on unemployment and it does suck. I seriously doubt women have anything to do with it. I believe legally women are to get paid the same as men. Big companies tend to lay off those that make the most$$ which is usually those that been with a company for 20 years.
Sorry but I get ticked off when people talk about others getting paid less based on sex, color...etc. People should be hired and paid based on experience and qualifications. I noticed that in America Black people get hired over whites over fear of a lawsuit and being accused of racism. You get a white person and a black person applying for the same promotion. Even if the white person has the higher qualifications its the black person that gets hired every time. I believe in equal employment for all people and if the person of the other race is more qualified then he should be hired. I guess I got way off topic. sorry
