Hey y'all ... I guess this post is more so for the metal-inclined amongst you zombie fans. I invite you all to check out Echoes of Ruin - Chicago-based metal currently seeking the final piece to the puzzle. If my filmmaking never leaves the ground, I'd like to hope that music can propel us upwards ...

Since April 2006, music has been the prime directive of my artistic life. With filmmaking as a sporadic and often time-concentrated hobby, it leaves much of the remainder of my free time relatively open. With the suffocation of light-blue collar hell (AKA retail management), my resolve to continue creating (movies or not) has brought me back to music; the primeval section of my creative life.Banded as brothers, the past 8 months have been spent in a regiment of arduous construction of the group that is now officially birthed with a moniker. And you will hear Echoes of Ruin.

With an album's worth of music written and a discipline for the craft of metal, this band is now seeking a vocalist. The onset of 2007 will see the launch of EchoesOfRuin.com (http://www.echoesofruin.com) as well as the corresponding MySpace. The quest for a singer will hopefully be aided by the promotion of demo material via the web and word of mouth. This new stage of progress for the band is celebrated by a one-minute promo ...

If you are a vocalist in the vain of Killswitch Engage (Jesse Leech, Howard Jones) and in the Chicago area, please contact Echoes of Ruin. Friend or acquaintence, please help spread the word if you know of vocalists in this subgenre of heavy music.

My hopes are that someone headbangs violently enough to break their monitor with their head. Then I'll know we're ready to book some shows. :shifty:
