Well be careful they shut down threads here that are stupid. lol:rolleyes:

Who am I? HLS of course!:D

Why I want to be on this site? I have not a clue. I been here so long its like an internet home I suppose.

What makes me respond to threads? because the people that write them are cool! *Ya I am a suck up I guess*

I in general will not get hostile in a thread unless someone is hostile towards me first or if I am being baited (or having a really bad, bad day and I am just pissed at everyone). But I do try to count to 10 before saying something I will regret later.Usually.

Who am I? I am not sure the level of self exploration you are asking for.
I came here because when I first hopped on the net I was shown a search engine and typed In Dawn of the Dead and thats it. Was surprised to discover so many people interested in it. NOw I am here because I like conversing with Different people all around the world. I like to meet exotic people and kill them:). In my day to day life I couldnt trade goofy comments with young Britsh filmakers with a barely decipherable form of Englsh or debate politics with gun totin', yankee hatin' Right wingers. Just wouldnt happen.

I try to repspond to threads I find interesting or funny. Hopefully I can add something, be complimentary or share a laugh.

I only get hostile to what I consider to smugness or ignorant propaganda. One guy kept trying to bait me, disputing a small detail of one comment I made with a bunch of unsourced outdated "facts" while obnoxiously telling me to site a source. He went on and on. I eventually checked up and not only proved myself right, but detroyed his claims.
I wrote this long ass post ripping this smug goof to shreads. Then I read it, and deleted it because I realized I was drifting into a kind of I am right and you are wrong net nerdery that I loath.
I am not concerned with being right all the time. I prefer reasonable discussion, not obsessive/compulsive arguing with an idiot who isnt listening anyway.
He got no answer, but I know in the end that he was the jackass. In person, however, I would've told him so.

My real name's Amy. I started using "Chic Freak" as a modelling alias last year and it's sort of spilled over into general alias-ness now. I respond to threads that interest me, or ones that didn't interest me originally but have gone off topic. I don't usually respond with hostility to anything unless someone's being an out-an-out nazi or something, and even then I like to think I can engage in reasonable debate. My general attitude with forums is, if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all though, I'm not interested in getting caught up in silly arguments.

I haven't been here long, so I've only started one thread :) I mostly start threads over on the Heavenly Hair board (http://www.extra-muffins.com/hair) to advertise my hair business (http://www.cradlefalls.tk) and generally stay in the loop/ fronts of potential clients' minds, but I guess here I'm more likely to just chill out

*Some weird British bloke.

*Cos this forum community is super cool and is the place for GAR & zombie related chittity-chat.

*I respond to threads if I have something worthy to say, I don't partake in those retarded one-word/three-word threads, I hate those things - yes I'm in a mood tonight, but I still think those kind of threads are stupid. Sometimes I have a lot to say, sometimes I have not so much to say...

1) I think I'm a generally chilled out and relaxed, nice kinda guy who likes to find the good in everything, rather than dwell on the bad ... well, it makes up for shaking my head at all the stupid sh*t Labour get up to anyway...

2) Don't really do hostility, occasionally if I'm having a sh*t day or just pissed off about something then I can be a bit blunt or short (figuratively speaking).

3) Actually this thread is kinda fun ... ... but f*ck that one word/three word post wank.

I am of course Debbie and I have always loved zombie movies since I was a kid.
I told some of you the story of getting to see NOTLD at the drive in when I was 10 or 11 yrs old and getting the begeebers scared out of me and was hooked ever since. I did a search on George A. Romero and the search brought me here to the fiction section a couple yrs ago I read some stories then started to chat last year, started to get to know people on this site, started to post and thats why I am here! I have made alot of nice friends here, not alot of people I know like zombie movies( they just dont get it)! I dont really care cause that is what scares me in horror movies!!!
Why do I respond to threads? If I have something to say I respond I say something if I dont then I just read it and be on my way thats it!
:)

Im Richard,i like to think im a decent bloke most of the time, though my OCD sometimes narks me off & i get down about it.
I found this site shortly after i'd been to see dawn '04 at the cinema,i'd always been a fan of the GAR movies and i did actually like that (for a remake) so i was bursting to talk about zombies again!i suppose since then my zombie related verbal dissentry tailed off a bit, although naturally i still love the films. But i liked the people here & theres usually some good threads & debates so it keeps me coming back.I dont reply with hostility at all really,if i have a difference of opinion here i usually either put my side across as intelligently as i can,or i just dont reply so as not to resort to petty name calling :)

Who are you?

A 21 year old male.

Why do you want to be on this site?

Initially to talk zombies. Eventually because the people were fun.

What makes you respond to threads;

1) Kindly

A polite and well asked question. Acceptable grammar and good spelling helps.

2) With hostility

Bigoted or ignorant statements, also self-worship as such.

3) Start a stupid thread like this one?

I don't start stupid threads like this one :)

people here

i have been to a lot of other forums and this

the zombie talk is great
but the gen discussion shows what a cool
segment of the web population comes here

i have been a member here for a long time
but my post count isnt all that high

i only post once in a while
but i like to read the other threads

I am here because I Googled George Romero and got this place . I have enjoyed his work since Barbara said , " Oh , only 10 more minutes ?" in the original "Night" ... I am motivated to respond if I think I can answer a question intelligently . However , sometimes I come the defense of so called lost causes ... meaning , I feel strongly about something and become a dork . I started this because I wanted to read responses from some folk I communicate with , & some I have yet to . So far I have lmao , in a positive way . :elol: I am grateful for this place , no b*llsheite . When do I become a zed ?

Who am I? Just a man with a mission.
Why do I want to be on this site? Zombies, of course.
What makes me respond to threads? I use logic and try to guide the unknowing by allowing them to re-examine their thought processes. When people like coma (see his earlier post), won't name those with whom he has a problem (me, apparently), make claims of having written a scathing response (which is unavailable; imagine that!), resort to name-calling when they're losing the arguement (truly a sign of desperation), and (this is my favorite), make veiled threats in a completely unrelated thread in the hopes that it won't be seen, I have to laugh. Would coma call someone a 'jackass' to their face? Apparently not, considering he can't even do that on the faceless internet.

This thread has shown his true nature.....and it's nothing to be proud of.

Blah blah blah, Miss the big picture again.
I refuse to get sucked in to this. But I will say this.
It did make me introspective. So I looked into it. Found I was correct for the most part. Decided arguing when I only wanted to discuss was not where I wanted to go. Realized I was being baited by a person who was not actually listening to me. Took the high road.

I did not hide, but this thread called for introspection. I realized something about my self and discussed how I came to that conclusion.

I consider the source of criticism. Considering in 1500 posts I have only had one other person go off on me in the end I don't care. The fact that you totally missed why I decided to delete the old post shows you do not read all the way through and simply look for details to use as weapons. At least in regards to me ,
Zero tact and only on the attack.

I come to these forums because I've been doing so for nearly 6 years. It's just part of my "internet experience". It's actually a HUGE part of it. Whenever I haven't been on the internet for a while this is usually the first place I come and spend hours just reading.

What keeps me coming back? I love what most of you bastards have to say about everything!

Name-calling is now 'the high road'? That is a curious philosophy you have there. Perhaps a bit more introspection is in order.

Let's get back to the point. If you truly enjoy debate, as you say you do, you'll provide this information which proves you to be 'right'. Otherwise it kind of closes the door to debate. Let it see the light of day and whether or not it holds up. I have asked politely for said info before and I'll do it again. Please, please, please prove your point or withdraw it.

I did indeed read all of your posts (at least the ones that weren't deleted), and find it rather curious that someone will claim that they don't always have to be right, then proclaim just how right they are in another thread (sans evidence). Leaving a debate by waving ones' hand and proclaiming that they are above the fray is just a bit too reminiscent of a frustrated child who will take their ball and go home.

Here's something else for you to consider. This is not a popularity contest. 1500 posts do not define the content, only the quantity. Every now and then it takes a Galileo to stand up to the status quo and get people to really think, irregardless of the consequences.

xD I just linked my girlfriend to youre site and she told me that she already ordered some falls from you, `s a surprisingly small world we live in. I thought it was a bit weird. Hundreds of people selling dreds in the UK yet my gf manages to find the one that lurks on these boards.

Who am I? I am the Corpse in Cornish land

Why am I here? Im not a fan of message boards I find them annoying with various people acting like biotches but this place is a little sanctuary. Topics can be argued fairly and usually fairly amusingly..Everyone is friendly as hell to boot. When a new member starts a "Im a new member here" thread, everyone always responds

Why do I respond to posts? Boredom? Some issues I cant ignore and feel I need to voice my opinion. Others because I feel like I have something that can help the topic or because Im bored. In a world with a million things to entertain somehow we still end up board.

I'm Ned. I like zombies. I like liberal-socialism. I like equality.

I respond with hostility when people are racist, sexist or in other ways ignorant. I cannot tolerant that stuff. Sometimes I'm more of an idealist than a realist, but the first step towards a better world is to set an example.

I hate japanophiles more than I hate Emos and Goths. Japanophiles will be the future threath to everyday calm and order. I hate them because they're cultureless idiots who dismiss their own history and culture for something they view as "superior" when nothing is superior to the other. They don't even bother to do their research. They're interested in **** from Japan just because it's from Japan, and when they ask why they come up with ludicrous statements based on myth not fact.

I hate people who think Pirates 3 is better than Spider-man 3, because it clearly ISN'T!!!!
