if spare ribs are spare,how come my local chinky charges a fortune for them?

There isn't much meat on spare ribs considering how much they cost.

Lately been buying Country Ribs which are pork shoulder. Easy to cook in the oven if you don't have time to BBQ. Put three lbs of ribs in a covered ceramic dish along with a cup of water. Bake in oven for 275 for about three hours. Usually wait to add BBQ sauce until the last half hour. Resulting meat slides off the bone and will be very tender. Best of all they cost about $1.19 a lb on sale which is cheap for ribs.
