So, which movies is everyone looking forward to this summer? Should be some worth seeing, like Spiderman 3, X-Men 3, Da Vinci Code, Pirates of the Carribean 2 could be somewhat entertaining...any others that we are looking forward to??

"Superman Returns"
"A Scanner Darkly"
"Poseidon"
"Clerks 2"
"Zodiac"
"Casino Royale"
"Lucky Number Slevin"
"Over The Hedge"
"Cars"
"Nacho Libre"

Guido, "Spiderman 3" is being released in 2007, not 2006.

Yeah, me too. But it's all been from fanboys of the series that don't agree with Daniel Craig as Bond(mainly because his hair is dirty blond:rolleyes: ). I'm thinking it's going to be pretty good. Also, Martin Campbell is directing and he's the one that brought the series back in the early 90's with the very great film, "Goldeneye".

It may not turn out to be one of the greats, but it should damn well be better than "Die Another Day".

whoops, sorry, wishful thinking i guess, although i'm looking forward to X3 much more.

Oh yes, Posiedon, i forgot about that, i definitely want to catch that. i remember watching the original a few years back...on SciFi perhaps? It was pretty good, i hope hollywood doesn't bungle ANOTHER remake.

Edit: And whatever you do, DO NOT SEE MI:3 PLEASE!! Tell everyone to NOT see it. DO not support that douchebag scientologist. sorry, forgot to mention that.

I don't give two sh*ts what Cruise does in his spare time. He's still a good actor, the last two films were entertaining, and I will definitely go see this one.

I mean, really.....do you think a few people boycotting a film starring a multi-million dollar actor is going to hurt the actor in any way? Not to mention Phillip Seymore Hoffman is in this one....he freaking rocks.

Like I said, Cruise could be a child rapist for all I know....does it matter to me while I watch him act as Ethan Hunt? No way.....BRING ON THE ACTION AND EXPLOSIONS!:D Also, Simon "Shaun" Pegg is in it! Gotsta show him some love.

Was it the original or the Sci-Fi channel remake? I have seen the original and enjoyed it, but the sci-fi channel remake looks bad from what I saw on the dvd at work.

I plan on going to see Superman, X3, Clerks 2, and Pirates of the Carribean 3. Other than those, there are only a couple of the summer movies that look decent so I might go see them, but I'm not sure.

that's a good Q. I'm thinking original b/c it was old old. i wasn't aware of a sci-fi remake. I guess this is the 3rd time around for Poseidon then...hope it's not getting rehashed too much :skull:

I have seen it at work as a remake, I am not exactly sure if it was a Sci-Fi channel remake, but it looked bad enough to be one.

Wolfgang Peterson is behind the new "Poseidon", so it should turn out at least half way decent. I've enjoyed some of his other flicks("Das Boot", "Outbreak", "The Perfect Storm"). He seems to have a calling for those sort of "disaster/sh*t hits the fan" flicks....

Although, I was rather let down with "Troy"...
