I sat down and edited more of the film together last night and I was wishing I had another chance to write another draft of the script. Between 3 scenes I found some of what was going on in the film was being repeated way too much, so a lot of scenes that were 5-6 pages have been cut down to 3 pages, basically I removed a lot of the dialog simply because we have been there and done that earlier in the film.
With all the cuts the running time has sank considerably. We are now at about 39 minutes because I have trimmed nearly 20 minutes out of the film. I am going to write some newer scenes to film in the next few months to make up for this massive mistake.
Lesson to all you filmmakers out there, proof the hell out of your scripts. I sent it off to numerous people, but no one caught the repeats of the story. Its a bummer of a mistake, but I will fix it and deal with it.
