Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there--on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. How so? Clearly realised he'd been completely mis-signed/cast and made the best decision he could!

The way he describes Van Damme complaining makes it seem as if he was a tool. He could've gone about it in a much more professional way...

The massive difference between design/actors for the predator is amazing. Kevin Peter Hall and Stan Winston/James Cameron's final product couldn't be more of a 180 from the Van Damme/Dinosaur-thing.

Oof! That original design looked ... well ... pretty shit.

Seems there was a lot of non-communication going on during that production before they got the Predator design (and performer) sorted out.

I'm not surprised that JCVD was pissed off though ... not the most auspicious of starts to a major Hollywood career.
