Man to be 'eaten alive' by an anaconda

Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there--on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. Yeah, constrictors won't attempt to eat anything until it's very dead. I didn't see the show, but I have years of experience in working with big constrictors. This is just a silly thought let alone trying to make it a show.

Does sound rather needless and cruel!

Yes, for the guy who attempted this so called stunt. *L*

From what I read, the snake came very close to crushing his bones and rupturing organs. And I think the snake was smaller than the one they were originally going to use. Imagine if they did use a snake that was fully grown at over 20ft.

They didn't survive for millions of years by NOT being efficient killers, be it venom or constriction. Snakes are specialist killers. Constrictors can sense heart beats and breathing and then intensify strength in those areas effectively ending life very quickly. Not to mention anacondas are bulky, powerful snakes. Imagine drowning, but you're not underwater and as previously mentioned your bones break and organs rupture. Yeah, I'd put that right up there with one of the most terrifying ways to die.
