    Homeworld: Remastered (PC game)

So Gearbox released a remastered version of the old Space strategy games Homeworld and Homeworld 2 the other day.
They've updated the graphics immensly, redone all the audio and remastered all the music. I haven't played Homeworld since the early 2000's, but I have to tell ya, it was one of the best Stories I ever took part in, when it comes to a Realtime strategy game at least. It was the first real game from any genre that had a very rich, deep and mystic story where not everything is explained. The great part of it is that we follow this rogue band of runaways from a destroyed planet, looking for their new (old) home and as the universe opens up to them, we learn everything as they go along.

The starting point is sorta reminiscent of the Battlestar Galactica plot, but it takes some twists and turns along the way and the universe seems much, much richer.

I recommend this game to anyone who hasn't played it, and who is looking for an epic space journey to pass the time. Homeworld 2 is included too, but I never finished that one (not as good were my initial impressions) but I bought it and I'm gonna replay both of them.

I played the first and have fond memories of it!

ps: What do you make of Attila? I've found the Total War games less and less enjoyable...
Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there--on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.
