    Wayward Pines

    Anybody watching this?

I'm on the 8th episode of the frist series.

I'm "enjoying" it, but I don't know if I like it? If that makes sense.

Yeh, there seems to be a few people like that.

I finished out the first series last night. Ends oddly, but sort of predictably? I'll give the next series a lash and see where it goes, but I kind of think that it's shot its bolt in a way.

The big reveal of the show happens in episode 5

A friend of mine recommended it... But there's just sooooo many series now...
Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there--on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. That's against the interweb laws Ned. But, seeing as you asked...

turns out, it's the year 4020 or something and all that's left in the world is the town of Wayward Pines which was set up by a meglomaniac and is populated by people who were frozen before the "apocalypse" and who are kept in ignorance of their surroundings. The town is enclosed by a huge wall, which keeps out evolved "humans" that are little more than eating machines and look like goblins from 'Lord of the Rings'.
