    gamespot loses ANOTHER editor

    http://kotaku.com/352425/gamespot-loses-one-more-editor

So if you dont know about the jeff gerstman fiasco heres the skinny.

He posted a lukewarm review of kaine and lynch, dead men and the developers pulled advertising off the site, to such a point gamepsot actually advertised free mmo's for a week.
gerstmen got ****-canned for it by cnet, no reason was specified.
then another reviewer game forth stating that games companys pay more to a site or magazine if the game gets a better review and if its not well recieved they make them hold off the review till after its out.
then more and more users closed accounts on gamespot, i myself stopped visiting and preffered gametrailers.com, and in the past few months 3 more people have left, with rumours they are getting together to start a new behind the curtain-bias free site.
meanwhile cnet appears to be watching the gamespot ship sink.

If it makes you feel any better. I never signed up for gamespot to begin with. I never bother with bias reviews of websites or magazines such as Game Informer. I listen to the fans only.

1up and IGN are both better sites anyway. Let the ship sink.

I never cared for them anyway, they always seem biased. I have always trusted 1up and Game Revolution as both sites will tell you a game sucks if it sucks. Those two sites are the best in my opinion.

I've rarely gone to Gamespot, always found it to be a bit ghey anyway.

IGN I've always found to be far more informative...but for my day-to-day I go to ActionTrip.com ... they have daily booby pictures.

As well as you know, all that boring news stuff.

Ya-boo-sucks to Gamespot and their corporate-winky-sucking ways.

maybe it's me but i'm content in watching Gamespot's slow lingering death as it bleeds from both the head and the wallet. they've been a ****e site for the past year or so so this downfall has just been awesome.
