    -Pyscho
    -Alien
    -Freaks
    -The Shinning
    -The Fly(remake)
-Close Encounters of the Third Kind(I know it's not really horror, but I bought it the other day and it still freaks me out)
    -An American Werewolf in London
-The Blair Witch Project(sue me, I think it's original)

Tough... In no particular order whatsoever:

    1. Day of the Dead - The most apocalyptic film I've ever seen.
    2. The Thing - My favourite John Carpenter-flick. I love it. Atmospheric as hell.
    3. Suspiria - Not that scary, but the filming and the music just kicks so much ass that you just have to love it. Gothic for the win.
    4. Ravenous - First time I saw it, it even scared me a bit. Eerie, good plot and atmospheric.
    5. Breakfast at the Manchester Morgue - A bit of an untraditional zombieflick that focuses on atmosphere and not gore.
    6. Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things - See above. I love it for the very same reason.
    7. In the Mouth of Madness - One of John Carpenters best. Gothic, I like.
    8. Alien - Because it kicks ass and is tense.
    9. Funny Games - Bordering on thriller territory, but I find this flick to be truly horrific.
    10. The Wolf Man - It's cheesy, but it's very entertaining.

I like horrorfilms that are full of nonsensical gore too. They're just not my favourites. A good plot and tense atmosphere always beats gore in the long run.

It's amazing how many films that we have in common. Considering the sheer amount of horror films out there.

My all-time favorite film is Aliens and I absolutely love the franchise as a whole. Alien is a great film but I guess I just see it as a sci-fi flick even though it technically is horror too. I guess I'm just going by how it's classified at the movie stores.

To me Alien is a horror flick, while Aliens is an action/adventure. Alien 3 tried to go back to the feeling of Alien and Resurrection tried to go back to the feeling of Aliens, but neither accomplished that, IMO.

The new Alien Vs Predator looks badass, though.
