Y'know, I just read Stephen King is writing a sequal to "The Shining". Seriously. Here's a wikipedia blurb on it (It's tentatively called "Doctor Sleep").

On November 19, 2009, while on a promotional tour in Toronto, Canada for his latest novel Under the Dome, during a reading at the Canon Theater being moderated by the filmmaker David Cronenberg, Stephen King described to the audience an idea for a sequel novel to his 1977 novel The Shining. The story, King said, would follow the boy from the original novel, Danny Torrence, now in his forties, living in upstate New York, where he works as an orderly at a hospice and helps terminally ill patients pass away with the aid of some extraordinary powers. [1]
    Here's the article:

I did hear some rumblings about it, although I'm not quite sure how that's going to turn out.

I think he should leave well enough alone.

It's funny how slight changes can make a film feel different.

Reminds of those trailers that were changed to have the Brokeback Mountain soundtrack. The one with Back To The Future was great. Doc Brown and Marty do seem a little....funny.

Yeah, his new work just doesn't compare to his older work. I'm still waiting on a sequel to "The Stand" though.

Some of those Brokeback trailer parodies were excellent, especially the BTTF one.

Heck, I enjoyed them so much that I made one!

hahahaha, "Brokeback: The Rising" is fucking HILARIOUS! It's about time someone exposed Dj and I's relationship for what it is.

With the "Shining" video - I love the Peter Gabriel song they used for it. Talk about changing the mood of the clip with music!

This is a trailer for the sequel to Titanic - called Titanic: Two the Surface

Unfortunately it's fake but this is exceptionally well done...

Innocent victims of merciless crimes, fall prey to some madman's impulsive designs.

Step after step we try controlling our fate. When we finally start living, it's become too late.

"Scary Mary" was a superb re-cut. It did actually freak me out quite a bit watching it ... *shudders*

And hell yeah, that song in the "Shining" trailer really does recontextualise the entire thing. Amazing really. A classic re-cut.
