    XBox 360 and USB stick

    Merry Crimbo everyone!

Am I under the false assumption I can use a USB memory stick to transer my Halo 3 film clips I've recorded to my PC? Because I can't see any way to do it now that I've got a memory stick...

nope, but you can upload em to bungie.com and download them off there, a lot of people have been doing that to do elaborate machinama stuff with halo 3 and taking about zero effort.

But a memory stick is good regardless. Like a mini hard-drive you carry around, or the new floppy disk...or good for transferring from PC to PC.

Just go to the Theater lobby, pick which video you want, and upload it to your file share. Then go to Bungie.net, sign in, and you're golden. You can do this with Screenshots, too. Check your stats while you're there as well, you won't believe the detail in which the keep your records.

Edit: here are a few pics I snapped:

EDIT: Ok, I got it on my file share and can see it on the Bungie website, how do I download it to my PC?

Erm...as far as I'm concerned its impossible to upload the "movies" to your file share - don't forget these aren't rendered movies but metadata used to recreate what happened in the game, therefore the only way to see saved films is on your xbox in the Halo 3 game itself.

To make a viewable movie for youtube or whatever you'll need to run your xbox into a capture card on your PC and record the movie like that.

uh ,yeah you can, thats what were saying, you upload them via xbox live to bunie.net, login, and then download them off there as videos onto your pc.

SymphonicX is right, you can only upload your movies to bungie.net for other people, who in turn download the metadata to their Xbox, and watch the film in their Halo 3 game. Yeah, its kind of limiting, but the technology is amazing regardless. Check out this double kill I got with a Gravity Hammer, I took out 2 guys out who were riding a Warthog by flipping them high in to the air and over a cliff on Rat's Nest:

Just click "download to Halo 3", and the next time you sign in to Halo 3, it will download, and you can watch it in the theater. I'd like to see what video Craig wanted to upload, be sure to put it up so we can download it!
