    Blue Thunder Collectors DVD

Grrrr.... I bought the 'collector edition' of the film last week.

While watching it I picked up on a couple of cuts/dubs (for language), and then part of a car chase was cut out as well...

    Why!!!

Still a great film, so next is the commentary track
Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there--on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. I love it

I'm trying to find 'Deadly Encounter' with Larry Hagman... A TV movie from about the same time which again involved some great helicopter sequences...

I might pick it today actually 'cos I got a job interview in town and that big ole HMV is right around the corner. I used to love Blue Thunder as a kid and was a fan of the TV series with James Farentino.

Crikey, that's an obscure one. It's likely you'll have a greater chance finding that on VHS in a charity shop than on a DVD, although I see on Amazon that it has been released on that format.
