question for American family guy fans...

I keep seeing this huge red jug on family guy, in one particular episode he bursts through the wall of a courtroom at a completely inappropriate time...ring any bells? What is this meant to be? I'm guessing they're spoofing an advert or something but its been bugging me for ages...

also, there's an episode with soap box derby racers in them and there are two characters that say "ha ha" after everything...what's that about? "This does not affect us at all HA HA!"

    Clues!!!!

    Ok. I got this.

    1. The red jug is Kool-Aid Man who fight the Thirsties. Another actual character. He is the mascot of Kool-Aid. In the '80's he is always bursting through a wall during the commericals and giving kids Kool- Aid.

    Here's more info.

    2. During the racing scene. Its a parody of Speed Racer.

    Here's a couple of examples:

I can still remember watching these come on during commercial breaks while watching TV back in the late 80s/early 90s. Ah, memories.
