Las Vegas: what do I need to see??

I found out the other day that I will be in Las Vegas 6th - 11th March, one of the places I mentioned before that I was desperate to visit but didn't think I'd get the opportunity to for years!

This time I will actually be working rather than just going on holiday, during which time I'll see the Las Vegas Strip, MGM Grand and Death Valley

I am hoping to either arrive a few days early or leave a few days late though so that my dad can fly over there from Kentucky and we can go sightseeing together (he lives in Kentucky so I don't get to see him much). I know I can just Google tourist destinations but is there anywhere that you guys have been that you would particularly recommend checking out? I sort of want to track down the Manson family ranch in Death Valley but don't know how easy it will be to get to.

Is there anything even left of the Manson ranch? I was under the impression that it was just land now...

I wasn't aware that there was anything but strip club in Vegas...

I find Vegas a bit creepy, I would just walk through many of the hotel, they are a sight upon themselves but stay and watch the water show at the Bellagio.

Spahn Ranch is pretty much off the beaten path
    and closed to the public.

nothing to see there, going there may be interesting
for 'i been there' reasons, but just a dirt field.

    meanwhile enjoy the salad dressing....

The only thing of interest to my recollection was the Grand Canyon and that's in Arizona. Hoover Dam is the only other landmark around there. Everything else is either drinking, gambling, or gaudy shows.

Hey, kortick, where did you take this girl with panties from your signature? She's from Russian so called "horror" movie "Little July" A.k.a. "Юленька". Is this flick popular in U.S. or what?
    Sorry for offtop.

I will hopefully be visiting the Grand Canyon with my dad. Drinking and gaudy shows are fine by me!

See Reno! Reno 911! Oh, and that place where all the assholes from 2 months 2 million ate all that expensive shit they call food in Vegas. Hell on Earth, but cooler. To quote Guinness "You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy." Yeehaw!

    I second that.

However, whatever you do in vegas, make sure it fucking stays there.

    Use a fake name, whatever...

Haha, I saw that the other night.
