Kevin Bacon in a new serial killer TV series

    http://www.deadline.com/2012/02/kevi...t/#more-224193

The untitled Kevin Williamson project, from Warner Bros TV and Williamson’s studio-based Outerbanks Entertainment, is described as an edge-of-the-seat thriller about a diabolical serial killer who uses technology to create a cult of serial killers, and a retired FBI profiler (Bacon) who finds himself in the middle of it. The genre of the project and the casting of Bacon is reminiscent of Fox’s signature thriller 24, which also tapped a feature actor, Kiefer Sutherland, for its lead. Marcos Siega recently signed on to direct the pilot, written and executive produced by Williamson, creator of Dawson’s Creek, the hit Scream horror movie franchise and co-creator/executive producer of the CW’s Vampire Diaries and Secret Circle.

The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there--on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. Sounds like my kind of show - I'll be sure to give it a spin when it crops up.

Yeah, I'll give it a shot. Obvious bacon addiction aside, I dig Kevin Bacon in just about everything he does. He's just one of those people who seem like even in real life would be a decent, down-to-earth kinda dude.

I love Kevin Bacon but... being written by the guy who created Dawson's Creek (and Vampire Diaries)? How are you guys overlooking this?! Also, seems like it could just be a DEXTER ripoff, but instead of having the main character be a serial killer, he's an FBI agent.

Somewhat off-topic - I used to hang out with Kevin Bacon's son; he played in a band that played with my band a lot. One time I was supposed to spend the night at their house after a gig of ours in NYC, but the show ended up getting cancelled so I didn't get to meet Kevin Bacon.

Sometimes the worst writers can sometimes pull a rabbit out of their hat. Sometimes.

Look at Rob Zombie - all of his movies suck harder than a starving third world hooker, but Devil's Rejects was fantastic.

I can happen, and I'm willing to give it a shot. "give it a shot" are the key words here. Two episodes in, if it sucks ass, I'll change the channel.

I thought that, at first, based off of the thread title, but once I read the description of the series it seems pretty far from the premise of Dexter.
