UK folks will be familiar with this lady. She was filmed spouting several minutes of racist banter in a drunken state on a subway train. She's now been sentence to 21 weeks in prison.

I'm aghast at this sentence - Of course she was out of order, but did she steal anything? Did she physically assault anyone? No. She was guilty of having questionable language when drunk.

If we then consider other cases such as this - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...lag-FREED.html
...where a white girl was attacked seemingly with racial undertones, and yet the attackers were given suspended sentences.

In Jacqueline's case the judge stated about the video, "Anyone viewing it would feel a deep sense of shame that our citizens could be subject to such behaviour." I feel a deep sence of shame that individuals can be assaulted and physically wounded by a group of people, and yet the race card only seems to be played in one direction. The scales of the law are uneven! The justice system is losing its grasp on common sense!
