    Expendabelles (film) - All-female Expendables

OK, which one will be armed with the iron?

It only makes sense for Gina Carano to be the first shoe to drop in assembling the all-female take on THE EXPENDABLES being pushed ahead by Adi Shankar's banner 1984 Private Defense Contractors. The former MMA fighter-turned-action star proved she can more than hold her own on the big screen in Steven Soderbergh's HAYWIRE, and she's joined the mix for the coming FAST SIX, so it feels only natural for one of the few action heroines on the scene to get involved with this picture which aims to put together a group of bad-ass women capable of matching what Stallone, Statham, Li, Crews, Lundgren, etc. were able to do over the course of a pair of movies.

According to Variety, discussions are ongoing with a few other high-profile actresses who have roots in action, which would lead me to believe that Milla Jovovich is only a matter of time now. Michelle Rodriguez would also seem like a gimme, except she's already denied that she would be a part of any such femme EXPENDABLES idea due to what she claims is a lack of action film experience to qualify.
Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there--on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. I'd have to try and make a corner case for Asia Argento.

Maybe Brigitte Nielsen could have a role...cameo? Villain?

Hey, maybe they could have Lindsey Lohan be their getaway driver, or pilot. If she's busy' call Amanda Bynes.

Nielson is the only chick mentioned so far worthy of being in it. What about Grace Jones?

Jeez, Neil, you're really gonna force me to have a serious think about this one, aren't you?
A long list of action actresses in memory here, and my wish list won't be cheap. Oh, and whatever names we compile, Joan Allen from the Bourne films is at the top. She's always pulling the strings of any muscle, man or woman. I like that.

Obviously a basic photoshop jobby taking the male poster and whacking lady faces on top of Stallone et al.

Yes, it's the sort of idea that can seem cheesy, and the title is a bit naff, but actually I'm totally down for this. I'm a big fan of The Expendables 1 & 2 (and looking forward to #3!!!), so I'd be well up for a female version - we're got a whole host of movie heroines, so why not have an awesome team-up action fest for them?!
