    Quick and the Undead

Did anyone else see this zombie film? Kind of a spaghetti western meets zombie flick, and not too badly. The acting is a bit over the top, and the dialogue sometimes a bit corny, but not a bad zombie film.

    Just wondering what others thought.

Saw it on Amazon but haven't bothered ordering it. I've still got a backlog of movies to watch and hope by the time I have THOSE finished that ill-fated stuff like this will have started trickling into the bargain bin.

Actually QUICK is one of the few that is worth seeing if you get the chance. This and Shaun, of course, Cemetery Man (Delamorte De La Morte) Fulci's Zombie and that Japanese flick, the name of which escapes me now.

I assume you mean Wild Zero.

I'd like to see this. It combines two genres I really like so I'm bound to like it at least a little bit.

I watched the Quick and The Undead and thought it was OK. A little hammy at times, but overall worth a look. The gore was a bit on the cheesy side, but if you do watch it you won't feel like you wasted your time on it.

It's IMDB rating is a little on the low side, I would give it a 5 at least.

I'd agree with DJ, it's not a bad movie, it's just average. I think your milage may vary depending on if you like Westerns (I'm not a big fan of them).

Thank you, Mike. That's the one: also a cheesefest, but worth a view.

So... What kinds of zombies are these? How do they behave, how are they killed, etc.

Sorry for the delay in response. The zombies in QUICK are definitely from the GAR rule book. None of that running zombie junk here. They shamble towards you, look like they smell bad, they want to eat your guts. Shots to the head takes them down. The premise in the film is that the government wants to exterminate the zombies so they pay a bounty for each pinkie finger that a hunter turns into the local constabulary. Bounty hunter teams go out into the overrun areas and set bait (chum of what looks like intestines and bloody stuff) and then snipe the zombies that come to feed. The film parodies the Good, Bad, and Ugly in it's relationship between the main characters.
