My plan was simple: eat your money's worth in meat (in particular, bacon and sausage) on the first plate, then go back and eat the stuff like eggs, toast and the like - then save the pancakes for last since they will fill you up quicker than John Holmes fills up a porn stars'... well.. nevermind.

Anyway, yeah, the look on people's faces when you walk away with nothing but a MASSIVE pile of bacon and sausage is indeed priceless. I'm sure they're thinking "what a glutton!" but screw them, I was gettin' what I paid for, dammit!
All this talke of Bacon got someone's attention. Lou, your mistress called:

Bob's Big Boy is still around. They're a California classic. A few years back the chain had bankruptcy reorganization and closed most of their locations, but there's still several in southern California, and bunch in Michigan for some reason.

Awww man, I wish they were still around here. I have lots of fond memories of plates full of bacon and sausage in that place. -sigh-

Yes. Bob's was the original, then Bob (Wian) decided to franchise the "Big Boy" concept to regional chains. I think Frisch's is the last big chain to use the "Big Boy" name, though there used to be others (Shoney's was originally a "Big Boy" chain, for example). Also, McDonald's Big Mac is a cheap ripoff of the signature Big Boy hamburger. The Big Boy was created in 1942. Jim Delligatti, the Pennsylvania McDonald's manager credited with inventing the Big Mac in the mid-'60s, managed a Bob's Big Boy in southern California in the '50s. I'm guessing In-N-Out's Double-Double was also based on the Big Boy, but I'll take the Double-Double in that matchup.

There is NO WHERE NEAR enough bacon on that buger. Matter of fact, I don't see any at all! MOON! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!

I probably didn't pick the most flattering pic. In real life the bun isn't that fluffy...

This is unacceptable in the BACON thread. I demand you go back, ask for a pile of bacon, then take a picture and post it.

HAH! That is awesome! "Is my gummy bacon more fatty or more meaty? Better check the window"

Wait, let me rephrase that: it's awesome as long as the gummy bacon is bacon-flavored.

Yeah, I had a feeling you might like that little guy. I was tempted to ask Andy to add him to the emoticon list.
