First Look at AMC's The Walking Dead Zombies as Production Begins

well, lately, AMC's been non-stop advertising their newest show "rubicon", which to me looks pretty lame and unappealing. kinda like a cross between the davinci code and the bourne movies, only using the sucky parts. james badge dale was great in the pacific, but nothing i've seen in the previews for this new show looks worthwhile. mad men and breaking bad, however, are about the best things on tv these days, so 2 out of 3 ain't bad....TWD will be excellent and fit right in with these 2 great shows, no doubt. kinda off-topic, but a friend of mine ('s got this helicopter-see what i did there?) said recently that his cable provider (ATT U-verse or something like that) is about to drop AMC from their listings....just a heads up for anyone who might be facing the same shitty situation.

AMC released the first cast photo today! Looks pretty darn cool if you ask me! ugh, usual lost/heroes 'stand and look bemused at an angle. I can't fukkin' stand this shit. Why not just do the walking dead thing where they are standing in a crowd of zombies? The whole point of the name is the subtext about the characters, not the zombies. I think people are gonna go into this expecting more 'zombie survival porn' instead of an actual drama.

WTF man? Are we just dropping spoilers for no apparent reason now? Not all of us know the whole series... Nah, I am just saying that in every zombie movie from Romero, to Return of the Living Dead, to Resident Evil, and the remakes there have never been any asian zombies in North America so there must be some kind of location linked to genetic immunity. In Dawn04 there is a 1 armed asian zombie but Snyder must have realized the mistake and removed the scene from the theatrical release. It is so damned hot and humid stuff like this just pops into my head. But how many issues into TWD??? And watch the spoilers in case you passed me (I haven't read an issue since the end of the Hunter's story cycle). I've done Volumes 1 and 2 only. So that's, if I'm correct, 12 issues (six issues per Volume). I've been avoiding so much talk about the comics here to avoid any information of upcoming plots. Even if something isn't technically a spoiler, a comment like 'volume 8 is a heartbreaker' is as-good-as really, because now I know something sad is going to happen. Likewise general plot talk is as-good-as a spoiler as I'm finding out information ahead of my point in the Walking Dead canon ... so I've just been avoiding all talk of the comic book series in this thread. Just paying attention to official stuff related to the TV adaptation.

Whoever they got playing Dale and Andrea seems to be a dead on match from the book. I wasn't too thrilled about the above picture, until I saw the comic version banner with it. That banner is fucking awesome!
