So? This has been floating around the web for several years.

It's a long standing tradition to belittle politicians. Why should Obama be placed above all of this? Do I sense a Democratic double standard here? If Obama don't want it, he can step down and get his a$$ out of the public eye.

Like having strippers at your puke parties is an act of a fine, upstanding citizen. That's kind of like getting a blowjob from a rattlesnake, and wondering why your meat's bleeding. People tend to get themselves into these situations.

I've never denied their existence. However the Republican Party is far, far better at disassociating themselves from the morons (even if they're in Congress) than the Democrats are at disassociating themselves from the far-left propaganda machine because they fear losing votes or having it turned on them.

Hah. Fox News. I guess we'll have to agree to disagree.

You can say what you want about Fox News, but they are no where near as bad as MSNBC is for the left. Besides, I think anybody who gets their news from a cable network is an idiot who doesn't take the time to do actual research.

Again, agree to disagree. Personally, I believe Fox News is the most evil, idiotic and twisted propaganda machine ever to walk this planet. If you say it's MSNBC, then agree to disagree.

Funny thing, if our political views were opposite, I doubt we'd feel the same way.

I don't think so. Like Romero said in one of his interviews: "Everything is valid."

If the Left wants to throw stones, they should expect those stones to be thrown back ... no special rules applied. Obama is not innocent of similar things, however, Barry and his supporters seem to get a free pass on such issues. A double standard that is quite obvious and was hoary a long time ago.

Criticizing one for being an idiot (remember, those pictures all originated after Bush's response to 9/11) is not quite the same thing as criticizing someone for being black. And it scares me that you seem to think it is.

Not saying Obama should be immune from stickers and whatnot. But **** me, if you think that kind of stuff is valid, then I'm beginning to think your dislike of Obama might have more to do with his skin than his beliefs.

Well said, and the thing of it is everyone knows it. They're a punchline. it's common knowledge that they get their talking points straight from the white house.

Three-fifths, and that was only for slaves (not free blacks), and only for the purposes of congressional representation and apportionment of taxes according to the original text of the U.S. Constitution. People cite that as evidence that the "founding fathers" considered blacks to be less than fully human, without realizing that the three-fifths figure was a compromise, that the slave states wanted their slaves to be fully counted, and the free states wanted the slaves to be counted not at all. Counting the slaves for purposes of representation gave the slave states more votes in Congress than if only free people were counted. Free blacks were always counted as a whole man, not three-fifths.

It's true that what they did was stupid. I hate the nonstop-booze-and-strippers frat/jock culture. But that doesn't mean they deserved to be falsely accused of rape, any more than the rape victim who was wearing a short skirt late at night in a questionable part of town was "asking for it."

Ned, you are not going to back me into a corner for fear that you might hurl the "R" word in my direction.

First off, you have to prove that the person in question was making fun of Bar Hussien's race when he apparently held up some type of stuffed monkey toy.

Second, if criticizing someone over the color of their skin is wrong, perhaps you should sit down with Barry's "pastor" of 20-years and set him straight (of course, Barry gets a free pass here ... after all, he said he didn't agree with Wright, eh? He also didn't walk out of that particular church and never set foot in again either, well, until he decided to run for President, that is).

    Double standard.

Incidentally, Nedly, just so you can sleep peacefully without worrying about your old pal Stray being a naughty "R" word, there are scores of reasons to dislike the pseudo-Christian Obama without going into the trivial color of his skin. (he can suffer his own issues on skin color by himself, no, wait, he put his in a book for the world to see, didn't he?).

    Double standard.

Rather than worrying about little toy monkeys, shouldn't we be more concerned with stories like this?

    http://michellemalkin.com/2008/10/27...-from-a-noose/

(of course not, Nedster, it's all in jest, it's just that Palin can't hunker down behind a politically correct shield and scream: "R!" "R!" "R!")

Stray, I don't give a **** about your toy monkey, read the thread, please. I was referring to the bumper sticker referring to the cotton, and that comparing the Bush picture to THAT was a really, really poor comparison.

It really seems like you'll defend anything people throw Obamas way, just because "It's OK, they're doing it too" (kinda child-like mentality, now that I think about it). Well, it's not OK. Stop thinking it is. There's no double-standard here, because no democrat ever hated Colin Powell just because he was black. Get your facts right before you go on a long rant the next time.

Sorry, but that bumper sticker, and the people behind it are racist. You see, conservatism and intolerance go hand-in-hand much more than liberalism and intolerance. And no, I did not say that there are no racist liberals, so don't even bring it up.

Oh, it's the bumper sticker that got under your skin. Something about "cotton", I believe. Yes, I agree with you on this, blatantly "R" and in poor taste. However, this is America and if someone wants to express that opinion, power to them. That is how it must be in a free society. The Constitution does not protect anyone from "hurt feelings" or "bad taste".

You also refer to "my" toy monkey, sorry, I won't own up to it ... wasn't me ... but, I do believe there might be a little something going on in your head for you to jump to the conclusion that it was meant to be something other than calling Barry's Lefty agenda for America "Monkey Business".

As for your comments on Conservatism being intolerant, that is a big, Marxist LIE. And, intolerance covers far more than just racial issues, so, friend (and I mean this Ned, you're not an enemy), Liberals are far more hateful than Conservatives. The "peace" and "love" movement has peeled off its mask and shown its ugly face too many times for me to believe otherwise.

Don't dump the "R" idiots in my camp, and I won't dump them in yours. Don't want them, don't need them and I don't care who, or who they don't support, in the coming election.

And, also, there is a double standard at play here and B. H. Obama is taking full advantage of it.

If Barry does get elected, and I believe he will, he'd better walk on eggshells. One mistake, he'll be forgiven for not knowing any better. Two mistakes, and the Marxist media that is now protecting him will eat his a$$ alive. That's how the Left works.

    Another long rant over.

ps -- concerning the monkey pictures ... second row, left ... my favorite, the stuffed monkey ... it really does look like the SOB.

    LOL!
