Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there--on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. This is shaping up great. If the casting is any indication, it may actually be a good flick. Can't wait to see a trailer.

Dude, this was a stellar cast being lined up!!

Bill Nighy - fantastic actor. Colin Farrell - say what you like about him but he is an awesome actor and very skilled - I refer you to Tigerland and In Bruges as excellent examples!

Beckinsale is hot, and so is Biel - I don't particularly rate them as actors but they aren't exactly out of place in this cast so far!

On a side note, let's all not forget that this isn't a "remake" of the original movie but a re-adaptation of the original short story - I'm hoping that the new version is a reimagining of the novella - rather than a straight up remake of the old Arnie movie.

i'm hoping that this one will feature Douglas QUAIL and he'll be an accountant - can't wait!!!

A good cast does not a good film make, I love the original film despite its flaws, but I just cant seem to get any kind of interest going for this remake!
Speaking of the gore, heres all the kills...

I'm still thinking if this is a decently done remake then I may like it better than the original, which I always thought had some decent ideas but came off rather flat and in some places clunky.

Can you have the three boobed lady and still have it be PG13? Maybe he's meaning the inevitable R-rated dvd.

In come the people to continue bitching about the pg13 rating. As if they should have expected anything different...

WTF? I don't know if anybody has mentioned this in the thread yet, but, this remake isn't taking place on Mars. It's going to take place in a futuristic Britain? No thanks.

EDIT: HOLD ON!!! Double WTF?! Now it's not even about a crazy vacation gone wrong?

Okay, so it's nothing like the original, aside from there being a triple-breasted woman. Why even call it 'Total Recall' ???
