First Look at AMC's The Walking Dead Zombies as Production Begins

I am very very much liking what I am seeing here. Looks like they might be diverting from the Original storyline already here. This looks like the scene where Rick first enters atlanta and gets his horse eaten. Glen saves him and then they go up to the rooftops. . . .who is the cop in the tank then? hmmmm? Not saying it's bad to change things up. . .just a bit different.

I am SO looking forward to this. At first I was afraid that it would be watered down, but from looking at the production photos that have been released, I think it's going to be top-notch!

with AMC's track record of excellent original shows so far (mad men and breaking-fucking-bad), plus a talented director, nicotero and company doing the effects, and the latest zombie craze, i can't see this show not getting picked up for a second season. as for the story, they've said that while the story will be from the comics, it's not going to be exactly the same, things will be unique at times. the governor and his colony will likely make an appearance at some point, but they will likely get through most of the story so far within a few seasons. and they are looking beyond that, i imagine. there's an interview about this among other things and footage of the "zombie camp" they are putting extras through on AMC's website: http://www.amctv.com/videos/the-walking-dead/ and yes, this show will rock your skulls this october. i'm feeling this might be the epic we've been waiting for quite some time...probably the best ghoul-related thing to hit your tv screen since day '85.

My niece works near some of the shooting sites in Atlanta. She was surprised that they got permission to lens there with guns...it's a sensitive Federal area. If this series is even a fraction as good as BREAKING BAD I will be extremely pleased.

This just keeps looking more and more badass with every new picture. I'd imagine that shot involves the 'Hinzman Swift' as I'll call it. Clearly that's cool with everybody as it's from Night68, and indeed that should be the limit of zombie speed ... stumbling swiftly.

man im gettin' a true Macy's Thanksgiving Parade balloon style chubby for this show to begin! I feel its gonna be a hit...look @ what AMC has done already MADMEN and BREAKING BAD are 2 of the best shows on T.V.....im positive this show is gonna follow im sure we all been waitin for something like this!

First shot of Rick Grimes: This dude, to us Brits, was in the likes of This Life, Teachers, Human Traffic, and Strike Back ... ... and lol, he was in a movie - about the 1969 moon landing, called "Moonshot" (anyone remember Lazarus from Tropic Thunder going on about being in a movie called the same? ) ... so it'll be interesting to see him in this with an American accent going on. Really stoked about this the more I hear and see of it, and I've got a lot of faith in Darabont.
