    Back To The Future Blu-Ray Pre-Order AMAZON - $50.00

    http://www.amazon.com/Back-Future-An...5070764&sr=8-1

In the UK they can get it with a DeLorean car that holds the discs or a Collector's tin. Us Americans get a crappy slip cover and case.

    Why the new thread?

Anyway....I'll definitely be getting this, I just don't know when. There are so many great Blu Rays coming out around the same time. BTTF, Alien Anthology, Toy Story Trilogy, etc. Going to have to decide which are more important...

Yeah, Amazon's pre order price isn't so bad, but I've got a feeling after a few weeks of release, Best Buy will have it for 30-40 bucks...

No, we're not getting the limited theatrical release. I'm personally cool with it, though. I saw the entire trilogy on the big screen several months back, so I'm all set for a while.

i've found it pretty fucking odd they are only showing the first. like parents who are taking there kids to see it for the first time will be left with DAT FUKKEN CLIFFHANGER and thats it, no more in the cinema.

i hope they do the same next year for the other 25th anniversarys.

Well...you've also got to consider that the cliffhanger was there for the original release. It wasn't intended to lead into a sequel. It was just a fun little coda at the end to get the audience going.

As Zemeckis says on the special features: "We never knew we would be making sequels. If we did, we wouldn't have put Jennifer in the car. That was the hardest thing to figure out in BTTF2 - what do you do with the girl?!?"

I was hoping this BluRay release would have SOMETHING extra in it, but as far as I can tell all the extras are identical to the DVD boxset. Did I miss something?

They've got all new interviews and special features for this release.

    - In the Beginning...: Delve into the genesis of the project, casting, re-casting, the DeLorean, sets and overall pre-production.
    - Time to Go: Production stories through the release of the first film.
    - Keeping Time: The score and the songs of the Back to the Future Trilogy.
    - Time Flies: Learn more about how the sequel came about, the futuristic look, the special and visual effects, recreating 1955 and more.
    - Third Time’s the Charm: Learn about building a western town, Doc Brown’s love story, the casting of Mary Steenburgen, the train sequence and completing the Trilogy.
    - The Test of Time: Back to the Future becomes a phenomenon! President Reagan quotes the film, the Back to the Future ride opens at Universal Studios theme park and fans rebuild the iconic DeLorean. The film’s cast and crew take a look back and discuss why these beloved movies live on.

I've also heard rumors that this set will include footage of the film with Eric Stoltz as Marty....

Same here. It's funny it hasn't been released yet. Apparently they almost filmed the entire movie with the guy. About six weeks of filming, I think it was.

And all we have are a few photos....

The first film is in my top ten favs of all time. Imo, the series declined as it went on, but just my personal taste.

not sure if you've noticed, but the search feature is beyond fucked right now...i've had a hell of a time trying to dig up a few older threads...hopefully they get it fixed sometime soon. until then, you'd be better off leaving your search nazi hat at home.

i'd go with the toy story trilogy first, your kid will likely echo that...then BTFF, and then the alien set.
