The castle is extremely overhyped (i.e. no dramatic, gothic castle overlooking a sheer drop into abyss) though yes, it is a beautiful place.
Unfortunately the area has become a Hammer-horror Disneyland, with murals of the Count, the Wolfman and Frankenstein's monster etc. There is also a gypsy-ran market who sell everything from BB guns and wooden carvings to water pistols, wine and general junk. Oh and the "actors" on stilts are a real mood killer!
