bollocks. at 95 years old im chalking this up to the "how terrible it is compared ot my day" thinking. -or like the astronaut who claimed the moon landings where all fake when he got old and "tired of it". I cannot see man being wiped out by global warming. we've survived by dwindling to thousands before, i doubt all the billions of us will be gone in 100 years. If we made it through the 20th century, we'll make it through this one.

Of course he's already got a survival strategy. Look at the title of the article! Our own extinction is forecast, but he's going by dead reckoning Granted, it's more of a Land strategy, but at least we got a solid answer about what happened to the vehicle!

I agree. The present day realities & challenges of life in the 21st century are such that this guy can't figure how we'll make it. Are there risks of extinction? Always. Are there serious concerns we need to face? Sure. Doesn't mean this tired old dude is right? It probably just means he's tired and old.
