$3500 for a 'The Thing' prop?

Surely no one is going to spend that?

Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there--on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. I had one of these back in the 90s

it didnt cost as much then by far
plus thats when i owned 3 comic book stores
and got it at wholesale with no tax.

I gave it to a friend of mine who bought a house
    as a house warming gift.
    He was a big fan.

and it disturbed everyone who came over...

yeah but Neil that is way too overpriced for that thing.

They never looked like that (did they)? Looks like it's made of ventilation duct piping?

I don't remember that thing. I definitely wouldn't pay 3 grand for it.

Now....if it were the spider-head thing or the messed up dog, I would consider it...

No Neil the one i had was a lot better

the tail alone was well over 6 feet
and the alien was just under 8 feet
and it wasnt on a base.

    it was really really disturbing

my mom wouldn't even go into the room it was in.

it was always "what is wrong with you?, why would you
want something so ugly?, where did I go wrong?, You used to
be a normal kid..blah, blah, blah"

It looked exactly like from the movie.
this is more like the one i had.

Four grand for a latex turd? Jeez, some people got more money than sense. For four grand I'd want that spider-head thingy at least!

For four grand I would want Kurt Russell or Keith David.
