The Rosemarys Baby remake has been on the cards for a long time and nothing has come of the rumours... yet.

Awhile ago, it's themes were set to be retouched upon with a film called Bless The Child and when it bombed, all the hype died away. But it seems Michael Bay wants to resurrect Rosemary's Baby for a new audience. There's nothing official yet but it IS being talked about.

I wish Bay's horror production company would f*ck off and make something original rather than always with the friggin' remakes! Christ!

Only if they get Roman Polanski
    to film it.

And then he dates Rosemarys kid when she gets to about 12.

Remake upon remake. It's getting beyond a joke now.
Oblivion gallops closer, favoring the spur, sparing the rein - I think we will be gone soon

I agree I am sick of remakes

The only kind of remake i would see
as being good is one that is better than the
original movie by being truer to the book it
    is based on.

Ira Levins novel "rosemarys baby" had a lot of stuff
they changed around for the film, read the book and
then decide if not a remake is needed but a truer adaptation
    of the original story.

That goes with Richard mathesons books as well.
"Hell House" had all the extreme sexual and graphic
depictions removed for the film. It would make the exorcist
seem like casper. film the movie as he wrote the book and you
have probably the best haunted house fims ever.
then there is "I am Legend". Just film it the way he wrote it
for god sakes. why do people always feel like they have to change things
if the book was good enough for you to use for a film,
then why change it so it doesnt resemble the product but
    by name only.

i guess i am saying no to re-makes
but yes to doing a movie more faithfully to
its original story than was filmed .

i would not be keen to see a remake of rosemary's baby at all. perfection can't be improved upon.
