    Wha?

After all these years, this is new to me? I knew the basement scenes were filmed elsewhere, but the upstairs scenes were too?

don't know if it is true or not and given the source of this info it might apocryphal. i found this paragraph on wikipedia:

The small budget dictated much of the production process. According to Hardman, "We knew that we could not raise enough money to shoot a film on a par with the classic horror films with which we had all grown up. The best that we could do was to place our cast in a remote spot and then bring the horror to be visited on them in that spot."[7] Scenes were filmed near Evans City, Pennsylvania, 30 miles (48 km) north of Pittsburgh in rural Butler County; the opening sequence was shot at the Evans City Cemetery on Franklin Road, south of the city. The indoor scenes (upstairs) were filmed in a downtown Evans City home that later became the offices of a prominent local physician and family doctor (Allsop). This home is still standing on South Washington St. (locally called Mars-Evans City Road), between the intersecting streets of South Jackson and Van Buren. The outdoor and basement scenes were filmed at a location northeast of Evans City, near a park (that house has since been razed).
given the shaky source i almost didn't even mention it. i was hoping that someone might be able to confirm or deny this info.

Oh yeah, that is total crap. The basement scenes were filmed in the basement of 247 Fort Pitt BLVD. Considering that they were on an extreme shoestring, I seriously doubt that they would have gone to another location to film when they had a perfectly good upstairs where they were. A couple of screen captures could easily prove that it was the same house, up and down.

Here is a link to the rooftop where the SWAT team confronts Martinez' gang of misfits.

No, the industrial site just below it is mislabeled as the cemetery. Here is the correct location: Evans City Cemetery

Here is the Night of the Living Dead Road as seen in the opening scenes.

That rooftop is the 247 building where the NIGHT basement and DAWN elevator shaft scenes were also shot.

Google Maps is even more fun because most of Pittsburgh and the surrounding area has been mapped with 360° street views:
247 Building (you actually need to enter 279 as the street number, but you're looking at 247).

    Cool!
Dawn of the Dead Redneck Road

Unfortunately, the airport ain't mapped 360°: Harold W. Brown Airfield

Guess what this is: Mystery Location <------not the NIGHT '90 cemetery, sorry!

    I would say, "a graveyard".

But other than at the beginning of Night, no graveyard was ever shown in the other Romero zombie flicks. So I don't see the significance.
