Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there--on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. Is this just going to be a straight up shooter or is it going to have some RPG-esque elements?

I assume you haven't played Oblivion. Its RPG first but you can play the action elements as a shooter in 3rd or 1st person view. I'd guess showing the shooter aspect is more appealing to people who dont know anything about it.
This and Left 4 Dead are by far my most anticipated titles this year.

I have played (and loved) Oblivion. I didn't know this game was going to be in the same style of gameplay. Awesome!

It's using the same engine, which has been kicked around and beefed up etc...

    Fingers crossed for ya.
Its a shame that Left 4 Dead isn't cross platform a la Shadowrun.

    Looks aiiight.

I really dug STALKER (as you all know), so I should like Fallout 3 - but I've never played the previous entries.

Mind you, STALKER: Clear Sky is out in 5 weeks - woohoo!

to be honest no, theyve been sketchy as hell on it, so who knows, but i think its very likely given thats one of the selling points of the whole "games for windows" marketing campaign.

I think they said in the beginning they were considering it, then later retracted it citing tech difficulties unfortunately.
