    Home survival

    The infestation just began:

What are some basic provisions you would stock to hold out for a month or two ? Utilities may stop working.

All the soup, ramen noodles and bottled water I can grab. I can always cook over the fireplace If I need to. No booze for me, I would get trashed and invite them in to eat my shrimp flavored noodles.

Bottled water is your main "must have". After that you can think about powered milk & eggs. Canned goods are always something that you should have. Stuff that can be eaten without being heated if necessary like pork & beans & the like. Also, if you can stand the feast that they had in the original Dawn, SPAM is always an option .

I was actually watching the National Geographic Channel recently and it was stated that in a catastrophic incident one could actually survive off beer. This makes sense considering it's 94% water. Of course I'd stock up on plenty of High Life and PBR.

Gatorade and Wawa Iced Tea rations for extreme hangovers.

    Shloads of Ramen noodles.

Lots of crackers and pretzels... takes forever for those things to go bad.

I already have a hand-crank/solar-powered radio... so I'd be pretty set once I got that food.

Oh yeah, and LOTS of cigarettes.

Two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a saltshaker half-full of cocaine, and a whole multi colored collection of uppers, downers, laughers, screamers... Also, a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether, and two dozen amyls.

Oh mama, don't forget the cigs! I've stopped smoking for a little over two months now and I'm going batguana... and that's without the living dead wanting to chomp down on my ass.

No one here mentioned books (besides porn), boardgames, crayons... you're going to get really bored holed up in you apartment or shelter. You need to keep sane.

C-rats is short for Canned Rations. think WW2/ Korean war movies.

MRE are the new version, or brown plastic bags, hence "brown baggin it".

I lived on MRE's for two solid years. Better add some serious toilet paper and not the stuff they give you in the MRE. No reason to have a sore *sshole.

    Batteries
    CD player
    Extensive music collection
100 ft parachute cord Good stuff
    Duct Tape!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1,000,000 uses

I have cases upon cases of Military-issue MRE's (Meals Ready to Eat) and water purification tablets. I buy from Costco alot and always buy in bulk to save having to go back and forth every week. I have a generator that can power up the fridge and essential electrical items. Gas would be a problem down the line, but if I can get to the nearest gas station and just fill up empty 5 gallon tanks then I'm set for the duration.

apart from essential survival junk, I would bring books, and games, and of course, my bible...come on, faith can help people through some of the hardest times of their lives. I know it's helping me.

oh **** - i loves me some wawa iced tea, and the green tea, too.

definately would have to turn on 4x4 and high tail it to the closest wawa, then the liquor store so i could get **** drunk everyday all day on cheap vodka.

definately pack a 12 gauge for buckng off some rounds at those motherf***ers...gotta make sure there is lots and lots of canned food...i'd have to swing by the local grocery store...head home and board up the house, and definately make sure there is gas in the truck, and also that there are no dumb rednecks around to accidentally blow up my car when they shoot the gas pump.

then i'd take a lawn chair and sit on the roof of my house totally sh*tfaced, shooting zombies.

then when all else fails and it's time to abandon ship, i'd head down the street to the mall.

    hells yeah.
