well fuck me again. i went into this show expecting to hate it with a passion and well, i was wrong. i shouldn't like this show, i really shouldn't. i detest the whole emo, tormented vampire thing because i love actual vampire folklore so much but i this just got me and i can't really give a reason for it other than some of the characters, esp. the black ones (tara and her gay cousin), are just so much fun.

on an aside: i don't think anna paquin is hot at all. i don't like the shape of her mouth (in fact, i find it downright repellent) or the way her teeth look.

I'm kind of a fan of her eyes and then everthing from the neck down.

one further thing: anyone who likes this show may very well be interested in "blood ties." it was a vamp series that was on , erm ahem, lifetime a couple of years ago.

i am a big fan of forever knight. in a lot of ways it set the tone of many of the "modern" vampire shows that have followed. the first two seasons of it kicked ass. the third not so much.

then again, all modern vampires are pretty much descended from barnabas collins...

Yeah. . Dark Shadows was a great show. I even liked the reboot with Ben Cross.

Same here. I am a True Blood addict, and last weekends show was prety decent, except for Eric's acting towards the end.

I almost hit the floor laughing at Eric. It was about as funny and out of character when he approached the church group asking for a stake.

Btw, I would not throw away 2,000 yrs like that. If you know what I mean. Even though it was a cool scene.

That was a hilarious scene, but nowhere near as funny as him dressed as Andy talking to Lafayette

Yeah, Eric's acting was a little off at the end there. I am actually more interested in the story of the secondary characters really. . .Sam, Terra, Lafayette. . etc etc. I'm ready for the big confrontation with the maenid.

Lafayette is the coolest gay character on TV. Something about him makes you wanna keep watching week after week after week.

I do not remember that scene. Maybe I was out of the room. What happened?

Btw, I liked the flashback of Bill's past. He was vicious back then.

It was a few episodes back. When Andy comes into the bar to yell at Lafayette, and Lafayette flashes back to Eric. It was Andy's body and voice with Eric's face. Pretty funny. I actually thought it was pretty touching how Terry was able to recognise the signs of a traumatic flashback and helped to calm Lafayette down.
