Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there--on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. Cool to see follow up on this story. No word on how much the deal was for, eh?

How can you make an entire movie for 45 pounds? I'll watch just to see....good work regardless.

Shameless plug. The director of Colin had an interview with my website this week and told us how he filmed it for just £45 - http://indieflicks.co.uk/?p=428

Seems like hype to me - the obligatory free after-shoot pint for all those un-paid actors and extras would have cost over £100 :P

Saw this mentioned on the news earlier but didn't actually see the story. The £45 business aside it looks very original and I'm hearing good things, will definitely be looking out for this.

Anyone seen this yet? I picked it up on DVD last week, finally watched it last night. It actually surprised me how good it is. The guy playing the zombie "Colin" was good, I felt really sorry for him in parts. There's not a lot of dialogue in the film, but that doesn't detract from it at all. Now, you can tell it didn't cost a lot of money to make, but I can't see it only costing £45...still, it's a decent little flick, and a take on the genre that I personally haven't seen before. I'm glad I watched it.

I ahem .... acquired it. If you don't know how to do that you'll probably need a region free DVD player and import it.

It's a very very good low budget film. Everyone here should watch it. Especially the filmmakers.

Does look very low budget, but good (despite the shakeycam). Gives me hope I can do better, though

Finally watched this. Generally very impressed with the film (budget taken into consideration). Was slightly annoyed at some unecessary sillyness:-
    - Attacking a zombie just to get its shoes? Risking death over a pair of shoes? Hmm...
    - Pulling someone's ear off for the headphone(s)? Hmmm...
    - The Female zombies in the cellar? All seemed a bit odd/daft... But still interesting
    - The survivors in the documentary house? What the hell were they doing? Why not all go up stairs into a room, instead of sitting downstairs on window ledges and stairs, somehow managed to fend off zombies for insane amounts of time, with umbrellas and saucepans??? And it went on... and on... and on... a never ending attack drawn out far too long.
    - And finally, the zombie attack squad was just utter daftness. A dozen people just running into the middle of a pack of zombies all risking attack from all angles? How utterly daft. Just form an attack line, and take out zombies just one or two at a time... carefully and safetly... Bit silly...

Overall a clever film, and utterly amazing given the production values! And quite an impressive score too IMHO!
