Thankfully though I have much respect for the genre that I would never do something of that nature, but it is fun to talk about it.

haha, unfortunately too many bastards referred to Deadlands 1 as the crapfest. The problem with showing the scat once... it makes it even more unrealistic to NOT show it everytime.

I'm all for being as realistic as possible... but there are lines to draw.

MZ funny you mention Fallout 3... my partner in making Hell on Earth is a lead artist on that game.

DJ, thought you were going to the islands to shoot the music videos... need a 1st AC? ;-) I think we both deserve some R&R!

The island trip isn't for at least a month yet.

WOW... Just two days ago I was complaining about being bored since the Mastering of Deadlands 2 was complete.... but man I should have kept my mouth shut.

We had a major dilema arise in the pressing of the HD DVDs, but thankfully it all worked itself out. The original MFG company had to bag on us because they never informed their sales reps the STAMPERS were removed, so Alex and I spent the entire day on the phone calling 20 other mastering houses in the USA. We found one in the midwest that was able to pick up the slack and make sure we hit our target date.

This has definitely been the strangest release of anything I have ever been involved with in the last 4 years of my indie filmmaking career. I used to love rollercoasters because of the intense thrill... Now I think I get an even better high off of trying to meet short deadlines and making things happen when the whole world is against it (Manner of speaking)

This has definitely been a crazy friggin' month.

Just think guys this might honestly be the last HD DVD ever. Since everyone has returned their stampers.

If the USA plants couldn't handle it, the package would have needed to be shipped to Germany which seems to be the only country with HD DVD stampers other than China and the studio couldn't trust china because of the mass pirating problem over there. If we would have had to ship to Germany it would have delayed the release by 2 weeks, but we lucked out.

Man I could use a drink right now...

Blimey, it's a right old adventure making a Deadlands movie isn't it?

Always makes for good stories to tell though.

    Coolio.

Yeah, something to tell my grand kids.... oh wait, I got to have real kids first, and since I am not into having any kids that'll never happen.

I think one DjfunkmasterG is enough for the world to handle

Surely you can squeeze at least one zombie in it?
Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there--on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. Use it as a metaphor for people being dirty, grubby things.

Believe me I would have loved to do that, in fact the way i shot the crew enterting the facility was done with a very dark and horror style tone.

One of the few training videos where I was using a dolly and some really artistic camera angles.

Although.. no zombies. However, I could throw something in as a joke since I have to do a re-shoot for one sequence. I could shamble past the camera... my only time to ever use a romero style zombie.
