Just a status check on how people are doing and a general check to see if anyone we know is affected by this round of floods. I know we have some members in those areas. Prolonged Rains Cause Atlanta Flood Flood Dangers Not Over For Georgia Nothing too bad in eastern TN. We've had some steady rain the last few WEEKS and the creeks/rivers are a bit higher than usual at this time per year, but I think the drought from last year has helped see us through the heaviest raining without too many issues. I remember living back in Atlanta in 2007 and really upset at seeing Lake Lanier down to more like Creek Lanier due to all the droughts. Hopefully the flooding will have the impact of bringing that beautiful lake back up to where she should be. j.p.

I'm dead center in the middle of one of the disaster zones(west of ATL). Luckily it didn't flood my property, but it's all around us. It's really weird. People around here would have never expected something like this. Which is sad because most people don't have flood insurance and are now up shit creek.(pun intended)

I was watching the local news here in Pittsburgh tonight and saw some of the flood devastation. I'm originally from Georgia(Savannah) and spent a lot of time in Atlanta over the years. Seeing the Scream Machine at Six Flags under water was very weird. Watching the people who lost their homes was very sad and I hope they can recover as quickly as possible.

A little bit of rain here in SC. . that's it really. Frankly we needed it.

No flood insurance. That can be a major problem for some people. The governor asked for Federal Disaster Aid. Hopefully something can be done to help these people.

Seeing the Scream Machine at Six Flags under water was very weird. I thought so too, but apparently it's no big deal for them. They say that the park gets flooded quite often because of the Chattahoochee. In fact....they plan to reopen in just 3 days from now! I've lived here my entire life and been to Six Flags countless times but never realized that it regularly floods....

Makes you wonder what the required maintenance and follow up testing requirements are for flooded equipment and rides.

Makes you wonder what the required maintenance and follow up testing requirements are for flooded equipment and rides. Makes you scared to ride them. People have died/lost their homes and that's terrible, but on a personal note I have to point out that im part owner of a hauling and construction company. I think you can piece that together.
